Cove Naturopathic("we," "us," "our") operates this website and provides telemedicine naturopathic care to residents of Oregon and Washington. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies only to information collected on this website, not to protected health information (PHI) collected during clinical care — that is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at the start of care.

Forms on this website (contact form, newsletter, scheduling links) are not a secure channel for protected health information. Please do not include details about specific symptoms, diagnoses, medications, lab results, or other protected health information in messages submitted here. To discuss anything clinical, log in to the patient portal or schedule a visit.

What we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), subject, and the message you write. Used solely to respond to your inquiry.
  • Newsletter signup: email address. Used to send occasional evidence-based health notes from Dr. Mary. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email.
  • Scheduling: appointment booking is handled by our scheduling provider (CharmHealth). Their privacy practices apply during booking.

Information collected automatically

  • Hosting/CDN logs: IP address, browser, and request timestamps, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention by our hosting providers (Netlify, Supabase).
  • Cookies & analytics: we use essential cookies needed to operate the site (e.g., session management for the admin panel). With your consent, we also use Umami — a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool hosted on Umami Cloud — to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not share data with advertisers. You can accept or decline analytics tracking at any time via the banner on your first visit. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries you send us.
  • To send the newsletter you signed up for. We will not send marketing emails to addresses that did not subscribe.
  • To operate, secure, and maintain the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your information. We share limited information only with service providers that help us run this site:

  • Supabase — database and serverless functions that store contact messages and newsletter subscriptions.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery for contact form notifications and newsletter emails.
  • Netlify — website hosting and content delivery.
  • CharmHealth — appointment scheduling and patient portal (separate from this website).

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are retained as long as needed to respond and for routine business records. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained briefly by our hosting providers per their policies.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe: reply to any newsletter email, or email hello@covenaturopathic.comand we'll remove you promptly.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: email us and we will respond to reasonable requests about information you submitted through this website.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
