Why cash-pay?

Most insurance plans don't cover naturopathic medicine, and accepting insurance would require Dr. Mary to see more patients in less time and limit the care she provides. By operating cash-pay, she can spend the time your health actually needs — without insurance dictating what's covered.

Longer visits with no rush
Comprehensive labs and functional testing
Treatments chosen for you, not an insurer
No prior-authorisation delays

Out-of-network superbill

After every visit, we provide a detailed superbill (itemised receipt with diagnosis and procedure codes) that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients recover a portion of their costs this way — particularly those with PPO plans. We're happy to answer questions about what to include when you submit.

HSA & FSA accepted

Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are accepted for all visits and most lab fees. Naturopathic medical visits are generally eligible expenses under IRS guidelines — check with your plan administrator if you're unsure.

Oregon Health Plan (OHP) & Medicaid

Cove Naturopathic does not currently participate in OHP or Medicaid. If you need low-cost care options, we can help connect you with community health resources in Oregon and Washington.

Lab & supplement costs

Lab work is ordered through Quest or LabCorp and billed directly to your insurance or paid out-of-pocket — these costs are separate from visit fees. Supplements and botanical formulas, when recommended, are optional and available through practitioner-grade dispensaries.
